Vireo Health’s Whole Flower Cannabis Products
Vireo Health will offer many new strains as whole flower cannabis, the first of them being OG Kush. The strains are cultivated and produced at the company’s indoor facility. Five more strains are expected to be in the market by the end of the year 2021.
Goodness Growth Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Kyle Kingsley was all praise for the Cannabis Control Board & Office of Cannabis Management for taking speedy action to improve the medical cannabis program by consenting to the idea of whole flower products.
He said that the company was excited to market its premium whole flower products and thereby help to make cannabis more easily accessible and affordable to the existing as well as new patients of New York.
Dr. Kingsley expressed his gratitude to the Cannabis Control Board & Office of Cannabis Management because, by the beginning of October, they had given permission to cannabis dispensaries to sell whole flower cannabis products to patients who were in need of it. The new rule allowed patients to purchase and store enough supply for sixty days’ requirement.
Dr. Kingsley added that since whole flower products were more affordable, patients, who were switching to these products from the other forms in which they were using it, were likely to get about 50% reduction in costs.
The reduced price as well as the availability of different strains of cannabis to choose from, gave wider option for patients. According to Dr. Kingsly, it was an important step in the evolution of New York’s cannabis market.
Vireo’s first whole flower strain, OG Kush, will be available to customers from October 30. All its whole flower products will be available in packs of 3.5 grams and 7 grams. And more strains are expected to be in the market throughout the months of November and December. Like all the earlier products of the company in New York, whole flower products will also be Kosher Certified.
