SweetWater Brewing Company, One of Tilray’s Subsidiaries, Joins Hands With Reyes Beer Division For Expansion Into California
SweetWater Brewing Company, L.L.C., a subsidiary of Tilray Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ: TLRY) TSX: TLRY), has announced a historic expansion with distribution partners across the state of California.
With the opening of SweetWater Colorado Brewing Company, L.L.C. in Fort Collins, Colorado, Reyes Beer Division ties together the SweetWater brand’s continuous westward expansion. In addition, Alpine Beer Company and Green Flash Brewing Company, both based in San Diego, were recently acquired.
The nation’s 11th largest craft brewer will now be accessible on draught or in cans at local restaurants, bars, supermarket chains, liquor stores, and other retail outlets across the state due to this expansion. This expansion, which comes as SweetWater celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, underscores its continuing success, with California now becoming the largest state in its brand portfolio.
About SweetWater Brewing Company
“Don’t Float the Mainstream!” is the tagline of SweetWater Brewing Company, an Atlanta-based craft brewery. Aphria Inc. was renamed Tilray Brands, Inc. (“Tilray”), a leading global cannabis lifestyle and consumer packaged goods company inspiring and empowering the global population to live their absolute best life, bought SweetWater in 2020.
SweetWater Brewing Company will celebrate 25 years of delicious beers in 2022, and according to the Brewers Association, it is the 11th largest craft brewery in the country. Seasonal releases and an experimental, one-time-only Dank Tank series, 420 Strain Series, and progressive barrel-aged varieties in The Woodlands Project series provide palate-pleasing variation.
SweetWater is dedicated to preserving natural resources and habitats and is well-known for its contributions to environmental efforts across its distribution footprint. Supporting the conservation of some of the country’s most endangered rivers, streams, and coasts is a cause close to the brewery’s heart, as clean water is required to produce their delicious brews.
SweetWater beverages are made at the original SweetWater brewery and taphouse at 195 Ottley Drive in Atlanta and a new site at 1020 E Lincoln Ave in Fort Collins, Colorado.
About the Expansion
“Having been born and bred on the West Coast, I had the amazing chance twenty-five years ago to bring a piece of home with me to the East Coast through a spate of SweetWater’s West Coast-style beers,” said Freddy Bensch, SweetWater’s co-founder and C.E.O. “I’m ecstatic to have made our way across the United States to California, our O.G. stomping grounds, where we’ll continue to utilize the 420 lifestyles and SweetWater brand in their most authentic and pure form.”
