The launch of this new business marks the opening of the company’s 106th branded retail store in Canada, which sells cannabis products for recreational use and also accessories required for consumption.
In Ontario, it is High Tide’s 32nd such store. In Hamilton, known as ‘The waterfall capital of the world’, it is the 3rd Canna Cabana outlet. This new place is part of a retail plaza, attached to a grocery store which is part of a chain. Access to the store is easy from the surrounding areas which have many residential units and offices and other centers providing employment.
The membership of High Tide’s Cabana Club loyalty program, designed to improve user experience and brand awareness, has significantly increased over the years. When the scheme started in 2021, on October 20, the number of members was 245,000. By January 2022, the number has increased to 359,484, which is an increase of 47%.
President and CEO of High Tide, Raj Grover, expressed his happiness at the opening of the store, which, according to him, was the first one among the series that the company had planned to open in 2022.
He called 2021 the banner year for the company’s growth and emphasized that the company’s team had to build upon what had already been achieved, and increase the number of stores to at least 150, especially focusing on those areas that require to be served better, in both British Columbia and Ontario.
Mr. Grover also spoke about his anticipation about the success of the company’s discount club and its outcome in the fourth quarter, as well as the success of the Cabana Club loyalty program.
