Dr. Kingsley expressed his gratitude to the Cannabis Control Board & Office of Cannabis Management because, by the beginning of October, they had given permission to cannabis dispensaries to sell whole flower cannabis products to patients who were in need of it. The new rule allowed patients to purchase and store enough supply for sixty days’ requirement.
Dr. Kingsley added that since whole flower products were more affordable, patients, who were switching to these products from the other forms in which they were using it, were likely to get about 50% reduction in costs.
The reduced price as well as the availability of different strains of cannabis to choose from, gave wider option for patients. According to Dr. Kingsly, it was an important step in the evolution of New York’s cannabis market.
Vireo’s first whole flower strain, OG Kush, will be available to customers from October 30. All its whole flower products will be available in packs of 3.5 grams and 7 grams. And more strains are expected to be in the market throughout the months of November and December. Like all the earlier products of the company in New York, whole flower products will also be Kosher Certified.
